Hyundai Motor is suspending production lines at its Asan plant due to disruptions in the supply and demand of automotive semiconductors.
Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 14th that it would close its Asan plant for one day on the 16th.This is the fourth time the business has been closed due to a lack of supply and demand for semiconductors.
Only the Sonata and Grandeur production lines will be closed, and the engine plant will operate normally.
The shutdown is expected to disrupt production of more than 1,100 Sonatas and Grandeur.
The production line at the Asan plant stopped for a total of seven days on three occasions from April 12-13, 19-20 and May 24-26.
