LG Electronics is reportedly considering to move its battery separator business to LG Chem.
If LG Chem takes the separator business, it will oversee both LG Energy Solutions, EV battery manufacturing business, and separator business.
According to industry sources, LG Electronics is internally considering handing over its secondary battery separator business, which has been underway since 2009, to LG Chem.
LG Electronics has been producing separators based on TV display coating technology and supplying them to LG Energy Solutions.
