Yoon Seok-heon, the head of the Financial Supervisory Service, held a meeting with bank presidents at the Myeongdong Bank Association in Seoul on March 3. The meeting was attended by KDB Industry, Shinhan, SC First, Hana, Enterprise, Citi, Export and Export, Suhyup, Gwangju, Jeonbuk and Kakao Bank.
“We will exclude loans related to Corona 19 from the Financial Supervisory Service’s inspections in the future so that employees at branches of financial companies can actively take out loans,” said Yoon Seok-heon, adding, “Financial companies should also provide quick support to employees who handle loans so that they do not disadvantage them.”
"The bank president should take care of the loan support situation and performance," he said. "Please show me that the bank is giving hope to people."
Yoon Seok-heon also said, "We should first support small-scale financial products to small self-employed people and develop financial products to support Corona 19 damage."
