Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced on the 21st that it held a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new airport in Cusco, southern Peru, on the 19th.
The construction of the Chinchero New Airport Terminal is a project to build a new gateway airport in Machu Picchu, a world heritage site and Inca ruins. It is a project to create state-of-the-art airports such as international airport terminals, runways, control towers and moorings that can accommodate 5.7 million people a year in Procherose.
The construction period is about 47 months and will be carried out in a fast-track way that simultaneously conducts design design design and construction.
Hyundai Engineering & Construction plans to digitally manage all processes from design, construction and maintenance by applying Building Information Modeling (BIM), a state-of-the-art advanced design technique.
By utilizing three-dimensional building modeling, we plan to differentiate design, reduce air and construction costs, and save energy.
