The National Tax Service reportedly conducted a tax investigation into the company's products held by the son of Chairman Kim Hong-kook, head of Harim Group, a chicken company.
According to related industries on the 16th, the National Tax Service recently conducted an on-site investigation, including securing related data from its headquarters.
The investigation was reportedly led by the Seoul Regional Tax Office's Investigation Bureau 4, which is in charge of irregular special tax investigations.
Harim Group was recently sanctioned by the Fair Trade Commission for unfair support for all products.
The Fair Trade Commission said last month that it will impose corrective orders and fines of 4.88 billion won on eight affiliates of Harim Group that violated the Fair Trade Act, including driving purchases to all products.
Earlier in 2012, Chairman Kim donated 100% of his stake in Olpoom to Junyoung.
