Hanwha Q CELLS announced on the 11th that it will develop the Sputnik Energy Storage System (ESS) alone in Hunt County, Texas.
This is the first ESS development project carried out by Hanwha Q Cells and is a project to develop ESS complexes that are not combined with solar or wind power plants.
Hanwha Q CELLS is expected to not only accumulate large-scale ESS business development performance through the project, but also contribute to stabilizing the power grid in Texas by participating in the ERCOT-run utility ESS market.
Hanwha Q CELLS plans to start construction in January next year and start operation in December of the same year.
