SK Hynix is pushing to supply long-term automotive semiconductor memory with Bosch, the world's No. 1 auto parts maker.
According to the industry on the 6th, SK Hynix is negotiating with Bosch to supply automotive semiconductors memory. The contract period is reportedly under discussion for more than 10 years of long-term supply.
If the deal is signed, SK Hynix will be the first to supply semiconductor memory to Bosch, the No. 1 auto parts maker.
Automotive semiconductor memory is used in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), infotainment, and telematics.Compared to other semiconductor memory sectors, it requires higher durability and reliability, which is considered to have higher barriers for entry.
The industry expects that SK Hynix will try to get additional orders from global electronics companies through a long-term supply contract with Bosch.
