[Infostock Daily=Reporter Park Jeong-Do] Naver announced on the 23rd that it will abolish 'Ranking News', which is a lot of articles in order, and introduce a new recommendation model within this month.
Naver said in an official blog on the day, "As the consumption of articles becomes more diverse and the consumption of subscription media is prominent, the ranking of the entire article by section and age will be abolished in October and the ranking by media will be strengthened."
Therefore, the current news of 'a lot of news' by sections such as politics, economy, society, etc. will be the most popular article in each media.
The 'Media's overall ranking news' attached to the bottom of the article introduces a new recommendation model.
In April last year, Naver reorganized its mobile news page into two sections: "editing media companies" and "MY News", which are personalized news recommended by artificial intelligence (AI).
Naver analyzed that the number of news delivered to users through AI recommendations increased by 100 times to 20,000, and the number of articles with more than 100,000 page views (PVs) decreased by about 24%, alleviating the focus on specific articles.
In addition, Naver moves the two areas to the editorial section of the media so that users can more easily check the reporters and serial articles subscribed to.
Currently, about 2.7 million users subscribe to an average of 5.8 media outlets per person, and affiliated media outlets publish an average of 40 articles a day on the editorial board of the media.
