[Infostock Daily = Reporter Kim Jong Hyo] Doosan Bobcat announced on the 5th that it will start producing small excavators of 1 and 2 tons in China to tap into the Chinese market.
According to Doosan Bobcat, two small excavators have recently been mass-produced at the Suzhou plant in China. In the past, it was sold by importing at a Czech factory, but it was able to increase its price competitiveness and respond quickly to changes in demand by producing it in China, the company said.
China's small excavator market, which is currently under the Doosan Bobcat, is about 7,000 units, showing a steep growth rate of about 80% annually from 2016 to last year. Doosan Bobcat plans to achieve double-digit market share within three years by providing high product competitiveness and differentiated financing programs.
