Samsung Heavy Industries won orders for seven shuttle tankers worth more than 2 trillion won at once, achieving cumulative orders of 10.3 billion dollars this year.
It is the first time in 14 years that orders from Samsung Heavy Industries exceeded $10 billion a year since 2007, when the shipbuilding industry was booming just before the financial crisis.
On the 18th, Samsung Heavy Industries announced that it has signed a contract to supply blocks, equipment and designs for seven shuttle tanks with an Eurasian client for a total of $ 1.7 billion (about 2.453 trillion won). The client is known to be a Russian businessman.
