The Fair Trade Commission has imposed fines of more than 149.2 billion won on the top 10 conglomerates over the past three years, a report showed. Among them, Lotte Group was the one that was fined the most. ​

According to data submitted by Rep. Yoon Kwan-seok of the Democratic Party of Korea from the FTC on the 22nd, the FTC imposed a fine of 149.21 billion won on the top 10 conglomerates from 2018 to 2020. The number of times reached 41.

The amount of fines increased significantly last year to 47.99 billion won in 2017, 4.826 billion won in 2018 and 90.15 billion won in 2020.

Among these large business groups, Lotte (46.591 billion won) was the most fined. Lotte has committed 8 violations in the last 3 years.

Hyundai Motor was next with 40.148 billion won, followed by Hyundai Heavy Industries (22.454 billion won), Hanwha (16.158 billion won), LG (6.55 billion won), Samsung (4.622 billion won), SK 3.59 billion won, GS 1.612 billion won, and Nonghyup 1.236 billion won. POSCO was 0 won.
