SK Rent-A-Car held a board meeting on the 14th and decided to invest about 40.6 billion won to build the nation's largest electric vehicle complex in Jeju Island.
The substantial investment decision was made in April after a business agreement with Korea Electric Power Corp. to build a 7200kW charging facility that can charge 3,000 electric vehicles at the same time.
The decision came after a preliminary discussion at the in-house ESG committee on the 8th before the board's investment agenda was presented.
SK Rent-a-Car plans to build related buildings and other facilities from this month to September 2022.
