LG U+ is going to acquire its own shares for the first time since its foundation.
LG U+ made an announcement on the 8th that it has decided to acquire 100 billion won of treasury stock in order to enhance corporate value and strengthen shareholder return policy.
This decision was confirmed by board of directors after preliminary discussion by LG U+' ESG Committee, which was established last month.
The acquisition of treasury shares may have the effect of increasing cash dividends and increasing value per share for shareholders.
