[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] Passengers using the transfer between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines will be able to transfer without a separate procedure with the first boarding procedure in the future.
The two airlines are preparing for integration in earnest through service cooperation. On the 15th, Korean Air announced that it will start the 'connected boarding procedure'(IATCI) service with Asiana Airlines on the same day.
The connection check-in service is a service that handles the allocation of seats on the connecting flight, the issuance of a boarding pass, and the consignment of baggage to the final destination at once for the convenience of transfer passengers.
Until now, passengers who leave Boston on Korean Air and transfer to Kazakhstan's Almaty via Incheon were able to get a boarding pass only to Incheon from the Korean Air counter at Boston Airport. After arriving at Incheon International Airport, he had to reissue his boarding procedure and boarding pass for the Incheon-Almaty section at the Asiana Airlines transit counter.
However, in the future, it will be possible to check in, allocate seats and issue a boarding pass, as well as baggage connection to the two sections in Boston at once, depending on the operation of the connection check-in service. Korean Air explains that it can expect a comfortable trip by reducing the hassle of the procedure. Connecting boarding procedures are available from 48 hours before departure time.
