Cheil Worldwide acquired China's social big data analysis company.

[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] Cheil Worldwide will acquire 'ColourData', a Chinese social big data analysis company, and strengthen its data-based marketing capabilities.

Cheil announced on February 2 that it has recently signed a stake acquisition contract with Color Data Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shanghai, China.

Color data was established in 2014 and has technology to analyze buzz by region, sex, and age by collecting postings and comments from more than 5,000 SNS, news and e-commerce sites in China. Based on these capabilities, we have successfully conducted data-based marketing of various advertisers such as Samsung Electronics and Pfizer in China.

The company’s annual average sales growth rate (CAGR) for the past three years is about 40%.

Cheil expects that the acquisition of color data companies will have the effect of recruiting new advertisers in various fields in China.

Meanwhile, Cheil Worldwide will continue to pursue mergers and acquisitions (M&A) of digital specialized companies to secure future growth engines.
