Hyundai Heavy Industries wins the next generation Aegis ship worth 636.3 billion won.

Hyundai Heavy Industries has succeeded in winning additional orders for the second ship while building the lead of the next-generation Aegis destroyer.

Hyundai Heavy Industries said on the 9th that it has signed a contract with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration to build the second ship worth a total of 636.3 billion won on the 8th.

The Aegis, which Hyundai Heavy Industries won this time, is the second of the three next-generation Aegis ships introduced by the South Korean Navy.

It is the same linear as the lead ordered in October 2019. It will be built at the Ulsan shipyard and delivered to the Navy in 2026.

On the other hand, Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has won 214 ships (including 3 marines) worth 21.8 billion dollars so far, achieving about 146% of its annual order target.
