POSCO International enters overseas convenience store business... Cooperation with BGF Retail

POSCO International has chosen overseas convenience stores as its new business.

POSCO International announced on the 21st that it has signed a business agreement with BGF Retail, which owns Korea's largest convenience store brand CU, to jointly advance into overseas retail business.

With this agreement, the two companies plan to jointly establish strategies for overseas expansion, such as analyzing overseas markets, selecting target countries and local partners, and seeking joint investment with local partners.

If they enter the business in the future, POSCO International will perform logistics tasks such as maritime and inland transportation and supply products such as alternative proteins and meal kits, while BGF Retail will be in charge of establishing strategies for applying the CU brand, product planning, and operation support. 

 BGF Retail is expanding its business to Mongolia and Malaysia by entering a store exclusively at Chingkiskam International Airport in Mongolia in July.
