Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong will go on a business trip to the U.S.

"Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong has confirmed his business trip to the U.S.," an official familiar with Samsung's internal affairs told Infostock Daily on the 24th. "The timing was finally decided early next month.".

Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong is expected to confirm the establishment of Taylor's foundry plant in William County, Texas, during the business trip. Vice Chairman Lee is also expected to discuss ways to cooperate between the two companies, including Tesla's order for autonomous driving chips.

It is expected that 5G network construction projects will be discussed in depth as well as disaster network construction projects that have already been ordered with AT&T leaders.

Yang-oh Choi, chairman of the Sampyeong Sammin Research Institute, said, “Vice Chairman Jae-young Lee's visit and his approval to build a state-of-the-art semiconductor factory will be of great help to the Biden administration. A meeting between the President Biden and Vice Chairman Lee is highly probable.”
