Samsung Heavy Industries wins order for 6 container ships for 840 billion won

Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 16th that it has won six liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual fuel-powered container ships from European shipping companies.
The contract amount is 841.2 billion won in total. The container ship, which Samsung Heavy Industries won this time, is equipped with various Energy Saving Services and next-generation smartship solution "SVESSEL.".
It will be delivered one by one by November 2024. With the deal, Samsung Heavy Industries Co. raised its order amount to $7.8 billion (about 910 billion won) this year, filling 86 percent of its order target of $9.1 billion this year.
