Samsung Electronics-Hanwha Q CELLS Solar Energy Household Energy Business MOU

Samsung Electronics will cooperate with Hanwha Q CELLS in the field of household energy solution business.

Samsung Electronics and Hanwha Q CELLS announced on the 5th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for mutual cooperation to build a zero energy home at Hanwha Group headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul.

The term "zero energy home"means reducing carbon emissions by efficiently using energy produced directly at home through solar power generation, etc.

The two companies will start cooperation around advanced markets such as Europe and the United States.

If Hanwha Q CELLS produces and secures power through general household solar modules and energy storage devices (ESS), Samsung Electronics provides a system that efficiently manages the energy consumed based on the "SmartThings Energy" service.
