[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] Seahbe steel is set to enter the global offshore wind power special steel market in earnest.

Seahbe steel made an announcement on the 27th that it has won an order from Taiwan's largest offshore wind regulator for about 5,000 tons of special steel materials for fasteners (bolts and nuts) used in offshore wind generators.

Mass production will begin in the first quarter of this year, and the products produced will be supplied to offshore wind farms in Changfang, Taiwan.

Seahbe steel has been supplying Siemens with special steel materials for wind turbines since 2011 and supplied related parts to GE in cooperation with Finnish companies in 2018.

According to the World Wind Energy Council (GWEC), the offshore wind power market is currently around 6.1GW, but it is expected to continue to grow until 2025 and a new 65GW of offshore wind power generation will be installed.
