Daelim Construction aims to strengthen the competitiveness of existing companies and maximize management synergy through mergers, aiming to enter the top 10 construction companies by 2025.
The merger was promoted for the developer business, which preemptively responds to environmental changes in the construction market and fosters it as a new growth engine for the group. Samho and Korea Development decided to merge to realize the economy of scale and to lay the foundations for sustainable growth. While strengthening its competitiveness with core business as a center, it plans to re-leap as a large construction company to promote the developer business by organically combining the expertise of the two companies.
With this merger, Daelim Construction will have competitiveness in housing, architecture and civil engineering, and it is expected to enter the 16th place in the construction capacity evaluation this year. Daelim Construction plans to open new markets such as metropolitan city maintenance business, data center, large SOC business, and global developer business, which are large construction companies based on the expanded appearance.
According to the merger, Daelim Construction has reorganized its order to expand orders, enforce competitiveness, and improve innovation execution. We maintain a three-headquarter system consisting of the architectural business headquarters, civil engineering business headquarters, and management innovation headquarters, but have established an organization to strengthen the organization for urban maintenance and construction projects and promote civil engineering infrastructure development projects. In addition, we will establish an innovation school, an organization directly under the CEO, to nurture experts, while also establishing an outsourcing growth team to promote win-win activities with partner companies.
Daelim Construction expects sales of 2 trillion won and operating profit of 200 billion won this year. In 2025, it will achieve sales of 3.5 trillion won and operating profit of 400 billion won or more, and set a goal of leaping to the top 10 construction companies.
