Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on 29th that it held the opening of the system semiconductor design support center at the Gyeonggi Business Growth Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
The System Semiconductor Design Support Center is a comprehensive growth platform that supports the entire cycle from start-up to growth in order to strengthen the competitiveness of companies.
If anyone has an idea for 365 days a year and 24 hours a day, it is possible to design a chip using a semiconductor design tool without any cost. It also supports the cost of implementing a prototype chip designed by foundry.
The government introduced the current status of the system semiconductor vision and strategy for the past year. In particular, it plans to create a system semiconductor-only fund worth 100 billion won to support the scale-up, and to operate it in earnest from July.
