[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] The National Tax Service will set up a new industry support center for tax payment of new industrial workers such as YouTubers and SNS market operators.

The National Tax Service announced on the 18th that it will establish a new type of business cleaning support center in the central office, the national provincial office and the tax office.

The National Tax Service headquarters promotes system establishment and improvement, and seven local governments monitor tax consultation and latest trends for new industries. In addition, 128 tax offices nationwide will designate a dedicated team to answer related inquiries and to inform business registration and tax declaration.

The National Tax Service has set up a support center because new economic activities such as one-person media creators (youtubers) and SNS markets are emerging and expanding due to the development of IT technology and changes in the social and economic environment.

In the case of these industry workers, it is necessary to provide comprehensive information on tax payment to them because they do not know that they are obliged to report and pay related taxes because they are small in size or early-aged.

At the unveiling ceremony of the front edition of the support center, National Tax Service Commissioner Kim Hyun-joon said, “We need to actively support the tax information and education that are necessary for them to faithfully fulfill their tax obligations and settle down as a new job.”
