[Infostock Daily= Reporter Ryu Ki-Heon] Hyundai Steel has stopped operating a thin-plate hot-rolled plant in Dangjin Steelworks on 1st.
Hyundai Steel's production of thin-plate hot-rolled plant has stopped once in 2005, 15 years ago. The annual production capacity of thin-plate hot-rolled plant is 1 million tons, which is about 4.2% of the total production capacity (24 million tons).
Seah Besteel also has a plan to reduce the production of four electric furnaces at the Gunsan plant from the first week of June. The company is considering whether to shut down some of the four electric furnaces or reduce production by adjusting the amount of raw materials. Total scale of production cut has not been decided yet.
Dongkuk Steel has already adjusted its production volume flexibly since the end of last year.
