[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] The preliminary ruling of the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) lawsuit related to the source of botulinum toxin strains of Meditox and Daewoong Pharmaceutical was postponed to next month.
According to the two companies on the 2nd, the ITC was originally scheduled to make a preliminary ruling on the dispute between Meditox and Daewoong Pharmaceutical on the 5th (local time). The date was changed to July 6, a month later.
The delay in the ITC ruling was due to the fact that Daewoong Pharmaceutical submitted additional evidence in the United States, and it was postponed due to the need for a review period.
The final conclusion, which was scheduled to be made on October 6 based on the preliminary ruling, was also confirmed on November 6.
The preliminary ruling of the US ITC is rarely overturned at the end, and the conflict between the two companies, which have led to five years, is expected to end.
Meanwhile, the key to the debate is whether Daewoong Pharmaceutical stole the strains of Meditox. Depending on the results of the lawsuit, either Meditox or Daewoong Pharmaceutical will suffer considerable damage.
