[Infostock Daily= Reporter Park Sang-In] Hangeul and the computer group announced on the 24th that they will work with Gangnam-gu to implement shared parking service based on IoT technology from July.
To this end, Hancom Group and Gangnam-gu will conclude a 'IoT Sharing Parking Project' business agreement on the 25th.
Hancom Group provides parking sharing service by installing IoT parking sensor for 4800 residents' preferred parking lots in Gangnam-gu and applying 'MalangMalang Parking Friends', an IoT shared parking platform of Hancom Mobility.
The first plan will be applied to 1,300 parking space in July and will be expanded to 4,800 parking space by July next year.
As a result, drivers will be able to check the parking space of Gangnam-gu residents' preferred parking lot in real time through mobile apps 'MalangMalang Parking Friends' and 'The Gangnam' from July.
Parking costs 900 won per 30 minutes. You can pay by credit card or Kakao Pay. Phone payment service is also provided.
Gangnam-gu plans to solve the parking problem through the shared parking service, and plans to give incentives and residents' priority parking lot allocation points to residents participating in the parking lot sharing project.
“This service will help resolve parking problems in Gangnam-gu and demonstrate the effectiveness of IoT shared parking platforms,” said a Hancom Group official. “We will cooperate to ensure that shared parking services are quickly settled in accordance with local characteristics.”
