[Infostock Daily= Reporter Lee Dong-hee] The number of paid broadcasting subscribers in Korea is 33.6 million, and half of subscribers use IPTV.
According to the Ministry of Science and ICT's survey of the number of subscribers to pay-TV in the second half of last year, the total number of subscribers was 33.6 million, an increase of 570,000 from the first half.
KT ranked first with 21.96%, while SK Broadband and LG U + accounted for 15.15% and 12.99%, respectively, exceeding 50% for the first time in IPTV.
In particular, the number of IPTV subscribers has steadily increased since the number of cable TV subscribers in November 2017, widening the gap with cable TV subscribers to 3.65 million.
