[Infostock Daily= reporter Song Jeong-hoon] Hyundai Motor has decided to stop production of Tucson, which has reduced exports.
Hyundai Motor announced on the 8th that it will stop the production line of Ulsan 5 plant Tucson for four days except for the holiday from 13th to 17th.
Hyundai said, "The Ulsan 5 plant Tucson line is an export-oriented plant in the Americas and the Middle East. Due to the spread of Corona 19, local sales companies stopped operating and exports decreased significantly."
Last month, Hyundai's sales fell 26.2% in overseas markets, especially in the US market, compared with a year ago.
Hyundai said, "We plan to operate flexibly in accordance with the market situation by focusing on the production of popular domestic models."
