[Infostock Daily= Reporter Lee Kang-wook] Last year, credit card loan usage exceeded 105 trillion won, the highest level in eight years.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's "8 full-time card company's operating results" data released on the 30th, the use of card loans in 2019 was 105.2 trillion won, up 1.4 trillion won from the previous year.
This is the largest amount since 2011 (106.9 trillion won).
Last year, credit and check cards amounted to 874.7 trillion won, up to 42.1 trillion won from a year ago, the highest ever recorded.
Credit cards (701 trillion won) and check cards (173.7 trillion won) increased by 37 trillion won and 5.1 trillion won respectively from the previous year.
As of the end of last year, the number of credit card issuance (accumulation standard) was 110.97 million, up 5.91 million from the end of last year.
