[Infostock Daily= reporter Song Jeong-hoon] KDB Korea Development Bank announced on the 17th that it has provided 40 billion won to low-cost airlines (LCC), which are having difficulty in management due to the new coronavirus infection (Corona 19 or COVID-19).

It is the first support since the government announced that it would support up to 300 billion won to LCC last month.

The Korea Development Bank approved the emergency operation fund of 6 billion won unsecured for T-way airlines on the 17th.

also Air Seoul and Air Busan also provided KRW 20 billion and KRW 14 billion, respectively, through its parent company, Asiana Airlines.

The Korea Development Bank plans to provide additional support and other LCC funding to these airlines as soon as possible.

The Korea Development Bank is currently considering supporting 200 billion won in funds to acquire Jeju Air, along with the Export-Import Bank.

The company also provided a total of 326.4 billion won in new operating funds, extension of existing loans, and export and import financing to Corona 19 victims.
