[Infostock Daily= reporter Song Jeong-hoon] LG Electronics closed its research facility at its Incheon plant after its employees' families were judged to be confirmed as a new coronavirus infectious disease (Corona 19).

According to LG Electronics, the family of employees of Incheon plant was confirmed to have been infected with Corona 19 on the 22nd, and the Incheon research facility was closed until 24th and the measures were taken.

Employees at the Incheon Research Facility are working from home on the same day. In addition to research facilities, production facilities are working normally.

“The anti-virus work was completed on the weekend,” LG Electronics said in a notice. “We have closed the research facilities to prevent the health and spread of our employees, so please understand.”

LG Electronics' research facility is a state-of-the-art research facility completed by LG Electronics in July 2013 with an investment of 310 billion won, which is considered to be the core base of LG Electronics' auto parts business. There are production, testing and research facilities for electric vehicles. There are 2,500 employees, including partner companies.

Earlier, Samsung Electronics' Gumi plant was closed until the morning of the morning after one employee was confirmed to have Corona19 infection.

Samsung Electronics has taken measures to prevent employees from traveling domestically and abroad to prevent Corona 19 infections, and has stopped group training and shuttle bus operations.

LG Electronics also recommended all employees to refrain from business trips between various workplaces, especially in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, where they were ordered to postpone business trips or replace them with video conferences.
