[Infostock Daily = Reporter Lee Dong-hee] Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, visited the production line dedicated to ultra-ultraviolet (EUV) at Hwaseong plant in Gyeonggi Province on the 20th.
The V1 line, which Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman visited, was the first EUV (reme Ultra Violet) line, which will be produced in earnest from February. The company will focus on next-generation foundry (semiconductor consignment production) products.
The V1 line can digest 3 nano process from 7 nano.
“Last year we talked about our dream of being the world’s number one system semiconductor in this place,” Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman. “Today is the first start of our dream journey.”
“Let’s not stop the challenge so that the small semiconductors made here contain the dream of ‘contribution’ of human society,” Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman.
Samsung Electronics announced its “Semiconductor Vision 2030” last year, and plans to invest 133 trillion won in system semiconductors and hire 15,000 people.
