[Infostock Daily= reporter Song Jeong-hoon] said on April 4 that IEL Science, a company specializing in optical solution for silicon lenses, will unveil new silicon lens technology for LED lighting at the Frankfurt Light and Building Fair in Germany from March 8 to 13.
IL Science is the world's first and only LED lighting silicon lens source technology in 2015 and succeeded in commercialization.
Silicon lenses are lighter than conventional glass or plastic, strong against heat, and excellent in light efficiency. The company can mass-produce it with innovative dispensing method that does not require mold, and it can be delivered within two weeks after ordering.
The special (diffusion, light-collecting) silicone lens, which IL Science releases this time, is expected to replace existing lenses in various fields such as IT devices, smart phones, electric vehicles, displays and healthcare.
Song Sung-keun, CEO of IEL Science, said, "Based on the technology of manufacturing silicon lenses in the innovation process, we will pioneer a new global market in 2020 and expand the application field." and "The world's only new silicon lens material will contribute to the advancement of optical technology by presenting a new paradigm to the global optical market."
Meanwhile, the biennial Light and Building Fair in Germany is the world's largest fair in lighting and architecture. In the 18th year, 2,700 exhibitors and 220,000 visitors were recorded.
