The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 14th that it will voluntarily take corrective action after manufacturing defects were found in a total of 6,586 models of 23 models imported and sold by Porsche Korea, BMW Korea (BMW), Ford Sales Services Korea, Mercedes-Benz Korea, Scania Korea Group, and Hwa Chang Trading.
First of all, it has been confirmed that 3,914 units of five models (including sales transfer), including Porsche 911, have an automatic braking system failure identification code that does not meet safety standards due to errors in instrument plate software.
Accordingly, importers will voluntarily take corrective measures and impose fines in consideration of the correction rate in the future. The vehicle has been undergoing free repair (software update) at the official service center since the 11th.
