SK Telecom is entering the personal credit information management business (MyData) in earnest.
MyData is a service that helps consumers easily manage their credit information (financial product subscription details and asset details) scattered in various institutions such as financial companies and public institutions at a glance.
SK Telecom announced on the 7th that it has obtained the main license for MyData.
SK Telecom is the only one among the three telecommunication companies (SK Telecom, KT, and LG U+) that has obtained the main license for MyData so far. SK Telecom received a preliminary license for MyData in January and applied for the main license immediately. KT and LG U+ applied for the main license of MyData last month and are waiting for the results of the screening.
Telecommunications companies are entering the MyData business, believing that they will be able to find new food using the data held by the company.
SK Telecom plans to differentiate itself from existing MyData operators by providing new life-friendly customized services to customers using communication and financial data.
KT also added 'personal credit information management business and incidental business' to its target business to promote MyData business at its regular shareholders' meeting in March. It will provide super-personalized customized services that combine communication and financial data.
LG U+ will safely manage the financial data of customers secured through MyData business rights and provide new financial MyData services by combining them with communication data.
