The super-large export of GC Green Cross MS, which supplies 290 billion won worth of COVID-19 diagnostic kits to the United States, has failed.
On the 18th, GC MS announced a correction that it had decided to terminate the contract to supply the COVID-19 antigen diagnostic kit announced on December 29 last year.
Previously, in December of last year, GC Green Cross MS signed a contract to supply 'GENEDIA W COVID-19 Ag', a COVID-19 antigen diagnostic kit worth about KRW 290.4 billion with MCA Partners of the US.
However, on the same day, GC Green Cross MS was notified of the contract termination from its contract partner, MCA Partners.
The main cause was the delay of nearly a year in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (EUA) emergency use authorization (EUA) for COVID-19 diagnostic kits, which was a condition of the contract at the time.
