SKC will decide on Poland's copper foil production base in Europe, where there are many global secondary battery manufacturers, and start investing in it in earnest.
SK Nexilis, a copper foil maker of SKC and SKC, announced on the 18th that it has signed an investment agreement with Polish authorities to build a copper foil plant in a nearby E-Mobility industrial complex in Poland.
Under the agreement, SKC plans to invest about 900 billion won to build a copper foil production facility with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons.
Construction will begin in the first half of 2022 and commercial production will begin in 2024.
