The Ant, which was acquired in August, is expected to perform well and lead the box office with the release of webtoon-based games in 2022.
NH Investment & Securities maintained its target stock price of 50,000 won and investment opinion purchase (BUY) on the 16th.
D&C Media is a content platform that provides webtoons and web novels, supplying contents to Kakao Page and Piccoma in Japan.
D&C Media earned 18.6 billion won in sales and 4.2 billion won in operating profit on a consolidated basis in the third quarter of 2021. Sales and operating profit increased 19.8% and 17.3% from the third quarter of last year.
The Ant, which was incorporated as a subsidiary, recorded sales of 1.4 billion won and operating profit ratio of 10% in the third quarter.
The Ant is expected to generate more than 10 billion won in sales and an operating profit ratio of 20 percent by 2022 as the number of works to be released next year is higher than this year.
D&C Media is expected to generate 70.1 billion won in sales and 16.4 billion won in operating profit on a consolidated basis in 2021. Compared to 2020, sales and operating profit will increase by 21.5% and 16.4%.
