Suspicions of NCsoft's in-house sexual harassment and workplace harassment turned out to be true. NCsoft recently admitted to the allegations and took disciplinary action against those involved in the allegations.

Employment authorities, however, have conducted an audit once on NCsoft since 2015.

Critics point out that the Ministry of Employment and Labor granted an regular audit exemption to the companies and it has exacerbated the industry's in-house culture with the excuse of job creation.

According to a report by the Segye Daily on the 11th, NCsoft suspended six employees who committed workplace harrassment or sexual harrassment. They were suspended from one month to six months.

In 2017, NCsoft was found to have violated a number of labor-related laws including unpaid labor allowances during the Ministry of Employment and Labor's audit of the information technology (IT) industry.

However, NCsoft was selected as the "best job company" becuase of their job creation. The company was exempted from regular labor supervision for three years and will not be subject to regular supervision until 2024.

The Environmental Labor Relations Commission asked about the possibility of conducting a special labor supervision of NCsoft. In a written response to a recent parliamentary audit to the National Assembly, the Ministry of Employment and Labor said, "We will actively review it," adding, "We will closely examine the issue of sexual harassment in the workplace during work supervision."

It is also pointed out that large companies that may violate labor laws are being exempted en masse to promote "job omnipotence.".

According to the current status of labor-related law violations of 59 large companies selected as the top job companies in 2018-2020, about 30% of large companies were selected as the top companies even after being investigated by employment authorities, including wage arrears in the past.
