Eugene Investment & Securities predicted on the 10th that Vatech will continue to recover its performance and grow.
The investment opinion remained 'buying'and the target price remained at 55,000 won.
"Vatech has an upward potential of 34.1 percent (interest rate of 25.5 percent) and maintains its investment opinion. The current stock price is 10.9 times the PER based on its performance in 2021, 16.7 times the average of its kind and similar companies in Korea," said Eugene Investment & Securities.
Vatech announced on the 9th that its third-quarter provisional performance (based on consolidation) was 83.2 billion won in sales and 17.8 billion won in operating profit. It increased 30.6% and 84.9% year-on-year, respectively, and is the highest performance in the third quarter.
"What is positive about the third-quarter performance is that despite the continued impact of COVID-19, the company achieved its highest sales in the third quarter and profitability also improved significantly," Eugene Investment & Securities said. "By product, sales of 3D and 2D products increased 46.7% and 124.3% year-on-year, respectively, and 3D products surpassed the KRW 30 billion mark for the first time in the third quarter.".
According to Vatech, the estimated fourth-quarter earnings (based on consolidation) are 88.8 billion won in sales and 19.5 billion won in operating profit.
"We expect earnings to rise 12.3% and 42.9% in the fourth quarter, respectively, compared to the same period last year," said Eugene Investment & Securities "North America, Europe and China, which have a high proportion of sales, all continue to grow.".
