SD Biosensor, an in vitro diagnostics company, announced on the 8th that it has acquired a 100% stake in Eco Diagnostica, a Brazilian diagnostic kit company, for 47 billion won.
Founded in 2011, Eco Diagnostica is a company that manufactures and distributes human and animal diagnostic products.
It has over 150 diagnostic products certified and approved by the Brazilian Food and Drug Administration (ANVISA) and MAPA.
In the first half of 2021, it ranked second in sales of the entire diagnostic industry in Brazil, and ranked first in the market in sales of rapid diagnostic kits for COVID-19.
