Edison Motors, which was selected as the preferred bidder for the acquisition of Ssangyong Motor, signed a contract with LG Energy Solution to supply battery cells.
Edison Motors announced on the 8th that it has signed a battery cell supply contract with LG Energy Solution and will receive battery cells specialized for electric buses by 2026.
According to Edison Motors, battery cells supplied by LG Energy Solutions are about 20% larger in capacity and have improved performance and stability than existing products.
Edison Motors expects the supply contract to secure a stable supply chain and increase the ratio of localization.
