Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering succeeded in winning 750 billion won worth of liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.
Korea Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering announced on the 5th that it has won orders for three LNG carriers from Oceanian shipping companies for 747.6 billion won.
This year's cumulative order amounted to $ 20.9 billion (about 24.7 trillion won), already achieving 140% of the annual goal ($ 14.9 billion). These ships will be built by Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan and one by Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in Yeongam, Jeonnam.
It will be delivered sequentially to the ordering company by the second half of 2024. This year's order performance will be reflected in its performance in earnest after the second half of 2023, when ship delivery takes place.
