LG Energy Solution won an 800MWh energy storage (ESS) project in the United States.
According to foreign media and industry sources on the 2nd, LG Energy Solution signed a contract with German energy company RWE to supply ESS batteries.
LG Energy Solution supplies a total of 800MWh ESS batteries to two ESS projects promoted in the United States. The supply will be completed by the second half of next year.
Meanwhile, according to market researcher SNE Research, the U.S. power grid ESS market accounted for half of the global power grid ESS market at 6.5 GWh last year, with an average annual growth rate of 54%, and is expected to expand to 55.3 GWh, about 9 times by 2025.
