The eldest son of Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Eui-sun, who caused an accident while driving drunk to the level of revocation of his license and was even indicted by the prosecution, was found not to have any shares in Hyundai Motor Group's listed affiliates.
According to the artificial intelligence disclosure analysis program Tachyon on the 12th, Chung Chang-chul, the eldest son of Hyundai Motor Group, did not hold a single share of listed shares in Hyundai Motor Group, including Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors and Hyundai Mobis.
Chung, who is 23 years old this year and is an adult, has been confirmed to have no listed shares, including listed shares of the group, unlike other family members.
Cho Ho-jin, CEO of Tachyon World, said, "If you look at Hyosung Group and Daishin Securities alone, Chairman Cho Hyun-joon's children or Yang Hong-seok's children continue to buy listed shares in the group," adding, "It is a very unusual case that Chung Eui-sun's eldest son has no shares not only in the group but also in listed companies.".
Meanwhile, Chung, the eldest son of Chairman Chung Eui-sun, was recently questioned by prosecutors for a car accident in which he hit a guardrail while driving drunk in the middle of the night.
At the time, Chung was reportedly intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.164%, more than double the 0.08% standard for license revocation. The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors'Office said on the 10th that it summarily indicted Chung for a fine of 9 million won on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.
