LG Electronics has decided to expand its washing machine plants in the U.S. as demand for its washing machines has increased significantly in the U.S.
LG Electronics North America announced on the 14th (local time) that it will make a new investment to increase the production capacity of its washing machine plant in Clarksville, Tennessee.
LG Electronics will invest $20.5 million (about 22.9 billion won) for the expansion project.
The investment will create 334 new jobs, which will increase the total headcount at the LG Clarksville plant to 1,000 this year.
