By 2025, all vehicles owned or leased by Young Poong will be converted into electric and hydrogen cars.
Young Poong attended the '2030 Declaration of the Transition to Pollution-free Vehicles by 100%' organized by the Ministry of Environment at the Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the 14th. The event was joined by six financial companies, 20 manufacturers and the Korea Automobile Environment Association.
The '2030 Declaration of the Transition to Pollution-free Vehicles by 100%' is a project to convert vehicles owned or rented by private companies to pollution-free electric vehicles and hydrogen cars by 2030, and is the second time following the car rental and lease-up's declaration to switch to pollution-free cars on the 25th of last month.
The 20 manufacturers that participated in the declaration ceremony currently have 19,000 vehicles, of which 355 (1.9%) are pollution-free cars.
These companies plan to dispose of 800 internal combustion engines this year and purchase 833 new vehicles as pollution-free vehicles.
In addition, the company will gradually purchase 1,600 electric and hydrogen cars by 2025 and 5,900 vehicles by 2030 to convert their vehicles into 100% pollution-free vehicles by 2030.
