[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] Naver announced on the 3rd that it ranked second among Asian Internet and software (SW) companies in the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance Assessment) report published by Hong Kong-based global securities firm CLSA.
CLSA said, "Naver is leading the new ESG era in Korea and is becoming a great company from a good company.". According to CLSA analysis, the restructuring of corporate governance in 2017 has led to better decision-making as well as improved shareholder value.
In March 2017, Naver appointed founder Lee Hae-jin as chairman of the board, chairman of Humax Holdings Byun Dae-kyu as chairman of the board of directors, and CEO Han Sung-sook as its new chief executive officer (CEO).
