[Infostock Daily=Reporter Lee Ji-sun] While Hankook Tire's management dispute is reignited, it is expected that the judgement on legal guardianship of Cho Yang-rai, chairman of Korea & Company who is at the center of dispute, will serve as a important factor.

According to the business community on the 1st, a household investigation will be conducted on the 10th, which will serve as the basis for the court's judgment on Cho's health condition.

After the investigation and physical evaluation are completed, the court will designate the date of hearing and summon the party for questioning. Earlier on July 30 last year, his eldest daughter, Cho Hee-kyung, chairman of the Hankook Tire Sharing Foundation, filed for an adult guardianship judgment against Cho.

"The decisions that were too different from my father's beliefs or thoughts were made all of a sudden," Chairman Cho said. "It is time to make an objective judgment on whether these decisions were made by voluntary will in a healthy mental state.".

Two months later, on Oct. 5 last year, Korea & Company Vice Chairman Cho Hyun-sik filed an application for a participant with the same qualifications as the claimant, expressing his intention to actively participate in the claim for an adult guardian.

The second daughter, Cho Hee-won, is also known to have issued a statement to the effect that she is concerned about Cho's condition.

Prior to this, Cho Hyun-beom, the youngest president of Hankook Tire & Technology, issued a statement to the effect of opposing limited guardianship.

Chairman Cho and Vice Chairman Cho attended the Family Court in November last year and January this year for interviews, respectively.

Prior to the general shareholders'meeting on the 30th, Cho risked his position as CEO, proposing Lee Han-sang, a Korea University professor at the holding company, Korea & Company, as an outside director and auditor.

Hankook Tire & Technology, an affiliate, along with Chairman Cho, proposed Lee Hye-woong, CEO of BRB Korea Advisors, as a candidate for outside director to become an auditor.

However, as Korea & Company and Hankook Tire & Technology's board of directors recommended a candidate for an outside director who will be an auditor separately from Vice Chairman Cho's shareholder proposal, the vote between the two sides is inevitable at the general shareholders'meeting on the 30th.
